Web and Print Ads for Magazines
I design web and print ads that highlight the best of Marshall, Missouri for:
-
Missouri Life Magazine
-
Welcome to Marshall Magazine
-
417 Magazine
-
Rural Missouri
-
KC Chiefs Yearbook

My designs bring the city's unique charm to life, enticing readers to discover its hidden gems and experience things to do in the area.

These ads resonate with the magazines' audiences, driving tourism and supporting the local economy.

Bed and Breakfast Marketing and Website
I designed a variety of things for Kitty's Corner Guest Suites, which is a historic bed and breakfast located in Marshall, Missouri.
I acted as an interior designer for a few rooms in two separate properties, focusing on staying true to its Victorian and historic roots.
With help, I renovated the main house's kitchen and first floor bathroom, restoring the 1890 house to a space more true to its era.
On the digital side, I created a new website, various brochures, two new logos, a branding kit, and several promotional items.

Dunkin' Donuts in Turkey
While attending the University of Missouri, I worked on a group project and was tasked with creating a new promotional flyer for Dunkin' Donuts in Turkey.
The goal of the advertisement was to be simple, straightforward, and clean. This advertisement displays half a dozen donuts, and features the new baklava cake donut. Both the number of donuts displayed and the phrase “Share the love” in the center of the advertisement is worded to appeal to a collectivistic culture who like to be part of a community. The ad suggests for the consumer to buy more than one of these new donuts and share them with people they care about or know.
The orange and hot pink colors of the ad can establish brand awareness, and reflect the Dunkin’ Donuts brand image bringing a sense of trust and security to the consumers.
Also, in the top left corner of the ad, it says “New Baklava Donut”. This was strategically placed there to grab the attention of the viewer. The word “New” is in a different, darker color and smaller font to attract the consumer’s attention but not be the focus. Underneath, “Baklava Donut” is written in large, bold, white font and is encircled in a circular hot pink frame. Both the “New” and the “Baklava Donut” attract the targeted consumer for these new products.

The young, traditional consumer is interested in new, innovative global products, but still stands by and honors their roots and traditions. Since Baklava is a traditional dessert dish in Turkey, this ad encompasses the flawless approach of bringing balance to both worlds.
